The NEW Y-TEX RFID button-style tags employ full-duplex (simultaneous signal back and forth between reader & tag) technology and weigh 6.42 grams. These tags are encapsulated in a soft polyurethane material and are intended to be used as livestock ID where exposure to various weather environments, liquids and temperature changes are significant. The new RFID button-style tags have increased read distance and perfomance in noisy environments - icluding those with a high amount of metal and electrical interference.
Neither direct contact nor line of sight is required for accurate RFID reading. Tags can be read quickly and accurately in milliseconds through a variety of nonmetallic materials such as dirt, paint and cement.

The New Y-TEX RFID tags can be applied with the New UltraTagger Plus which can also be used to apply other styles of Y-TEX two-piece tags.

These tags can also be purchased as a Matched Pair with either the Y-TEX All-American 4Star tags or the Y-TEX All-American 3Star tags. Matched pairs will come with the new button-style RFID tags in yellow and you will have a choice of colors for the matching visual tag. The visual tag will have the same 15-digit number imprinted on it as the RFID tag.
3-digit individual ID numbers or custom imprinting such as Ranch Name, telephone number or a logo may be added for an extra fee also. The pricing will be similar to the pricing information found on the Y-TEX All-American Tags page.
