The RS320 Series Yellow Stick reader works best for those who desire a portable reader when capturing livestock data from tags. The RS320 Series, ISO compatible reader features an internal rechargeable 9.6V NiMH battery, LCD read out, tag counter option and internal memory for over 3,000 ID codes. Like it's predecessor, Model RS250, the RS320 is compatible with the technical specifications of ISO Standards 11784 and 11785, with both FDX-B and HDX capabilities. The RS320 Series Stick Reader can easily be converted to Bluetooth® wireless technology by using the optional module providing the utmost in portability and communications.
The Allflex stick reader is assembled in a rugged fiberglass tube enclosure that has been designed to be easy to hold and operate with either hand and is convenient to position in the vicinity of the transponder being scanned. The scanning antenna coil is internally mounted in the forward end of the tube and is oriented for optimal read distance.

The Allflex RS250 Series Stick Reader-otherwise known as the chute-side reader, is low-cost, extremely rugged, and compatible with ISO standards ISO11784 and ISO11785, including both FDX-B and HDX technologies. This hand-held reader is simple to use and provides either internal memory or can transmit identification codes via RS232 serial data cord.
Available with either a straight cable (3m in length) or curly cable (1m in length). Can be operated off standard 120V power supply or from and external 6V or 12V battery. Has a read range minimum of 20cm. Length 45cm. Weighs 22 ounces including the cable. See image at bottom of page.
The Allflex Compact Reader allows the user to verify a tag number. It has no RS232 port and simply displays the tag number on the reader screen.
